Work on LANIAKEA’s superstructure mould is now approaching its final stage.
The last reinforcement profiles are currently being prepared and glued to the surface. These profiles are an important part of the mould structure, helping to ensure the required stability, accuracy and strength during the next production phases.
At the same time, the KUKA robotic arm is cutting Corecell foam panels to the exact dimensions required for the superstructure. This is a precise and time-consuming process, as each panel must fit the mould correctly to achieve the final shape and structural quality.

With the mould nearing completion and the core materials being prepared in parallel, this stage marks an important transition towards the production of the actual superstructure.
Every completed step brings LANIAKEA closer to its final form, where advanced composite engineering, precision manufacturing and distinctive design come together as one complete structure.
