• laniakea_cookie_consent (first-party, 180 days) – stores your Accept or Reject choice for the cookie banner.
• csrftoken (first-party, session or short-lived) – protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
• sessionid (first-party, session) – set only when a session is needed, for example when signing in to site administration.

Security and anti-spam

• Cloudflare Turnstile – loaded when you interact with the contact form, to reduce spam and abuse. Cloudflare may set its own cookies and collect device and behavioural signals as part of that check.

Analytics (only after you Accept)

• Google Analytics 4 (G-RD07ZVWKLS) – _ga and _ga_* (up to 2 years) – help us understand how visitors use the site.
• Google Tag Manager (GTM-M3746RRG) – may load additional tags configured in our container.
• SiteBehaviour (DigitalOcean CDN) – visitor behaviour and heatmap analytics; may use session storage and related identifiers.

Marketing (only after you Accept)

• Meta Pixel (1340284280864701) – _fbp (up to 90 days), loaded from connect.facebook.net – used for advertising measurement.
• Server-side Meta Conversions API – after Accept, we may send a hashed email address (where available), your IP address and browser user agent to Meta when pages are viewed or the contact form is used.

Not currently used

• LinkedIn Insight Tag – we do not currently deploy LinkedIn advertising or analytics cookies on this website. External links to LinkedIn (if present) do not set tracking cookies until you visit LinkedIn's site.

Third-party content and CDNs

• GLightbox – image gallery CSS and JavaScript are self-hosted on this site and load with deferred stylesheets / page scripts. Opening a gallery image may still load larger image files from our servers.

3. How Long Do Cookies Last?

Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser (session cookies), others remain until they expire or are manually deleted (persistent cookies). Durations for specific cookies are listed in section 2.

4. How to Control Cookies

When you first visit our website, a consent banner lets you Accept or Reject non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing). Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, SiteBehaviour, the Meta Pixel, and our Meta Conversions API measurement load only if you choose Accept. Your choice is stored in the essential laniakea_cookie_consent cookie so we remember it on later visits.

You can also control and/or delete cookies through your browser. Most browsers allow you to:

• Delete all or specific cookies
• Block third-party cookies

Tracker cookies we can reach (_ga, _ga_*, _fbp, _fbc) are cleared when you use the button; the page then reloads so previously loaded scripts are no longer active.
